Service Technician

Mercedes-Benz of Billings is seeking well-qualified Service Technicians to provide excellent service to all our customers. Must have experience in repairing and reconditioning of vehicles-all makes and models. Minimum 2 years automotive mechanical repair experience.

As a Service Technician you will

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specification

Qualified candidates will have

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience as an automotive technician
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs)
  • Attention to detail
  • Organization and follow-up skills
  • Mercedes-Benz Certification preferred, but not required
  • Dealership and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification and/or Factory training is preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license & proof of insurance with a clean driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States

Sales Consultant

Mercedes-Benz of Billings is seeking well-qualified Sales Consultants to sell new and used vehicles and provide excellent service to all of our customers.

As a Sales Consultant you will:

  • Be responsible for selling and delivering a minimum number of vehicles per month
  • Complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies
  • Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up systems
  • Keep up to date on new products, features, and services within the industry
  • Maintain a customer follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to overall customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a prospect development system
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner
  • Approach, greet, and assist customers in the showroom or sales lot
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle and fully explain product performance, application and benefits
  • Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase
  • Offer test-drives to all potential buyers and follow dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive
  • Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws related to auto sales
  • Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and create a strategy to meet those goals
  • Know and understand equity and values and can explain depreciation
  • Ensure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer
  • Turn over all closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title etc.)
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty and paperwork
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department
  • Schedule first service appointment and follow up on all post-delivery items to be sure that all customer expectations are met
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively
  • Attend sales meetings, product and sales training courses as requested
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualified candidates will:

  • Have a minimum 1 year of previous experience selling vehicles at a new car dealership
  • Have the ability to work with CRM proficiently
  • Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Possess excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, and email)
  • Have a friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrate a personal interest in cars and motoring
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
